This policy is for residents of Washington, Nevada, Connecticut, and other states with consumer health data laws. It describes how hæl, made by KI-GEN Studios LLC, handles consumer health data. It supplements the main privacy policy at hael.app/privacy.

consumer health data hæl processes

• Menstrual cycle information: period start dates, cycle length, and the cycle phase calculated from them
• Body weight entries
• Fasting history: start and end times, durations, and completion
• Resting heart rate, read from Apple Health

where it comes from

• What you enter in the app
• Apple Health, only for the data types you allow

why it is processed

Only to provide the features you use in hæl: tracking fasts, showing cycle-aware context, and showing weight trends. hæl does not use consumer health data for advertising, marketing, or profiling.

where it is kept

On your device, in your own iCloud account if iCloud is enabled, on your paired Apple Watch, and in Apple Health. KI-GEN Studios LLC does not operate a server that receives it and cannot access it.

sharing and sale

hæl does not sell consumer health data. Your cycle, weight, fasting, and heart rate records are not shared with anyone, including the analytics provider (TelemetryDeck) and the purchase provider (RevenueCat) named in the main privacy policy.

One limited signal is being removed: hæl 4.0 sends TelemetryDeck a yes/no flag for whether a fast is in progress when the app opens, with no other health information attached. The next update of hæl stops sending it.

hæl does not collect location data and does not use geofencing.

consent

hæl processes consumer health data only as needed to provide the features you request. Access to Apple Health requires your permission through the standard iOS prompt, and you can withdraw it at any time in Settings > Health > Data Access & Devices.

your rights

You can:

• Confirm and access what hæl holds: it is all visible in the app, and fasting history can be exported from Settings.
• Delete it: Settings > delete all data, described in full in the main privacy policy.
• Withdraw consent: turn off Apple Health access in iOS Settings, or delete your data and the app.

You can also email hello@hael.app with any request about your consumer health data. We will respond within 45 days. If we decline a request, you can appeal by replying to our decision, and we will respond to the appeal within 45 days. If you are not satisfied with the outcome of an appeal, you can contact your state attorney general. Washington residents can file a complaint at atg.wa.gov/file-complaint.
